Heraklion Development Agency, in the framework of the European RESETTING Programme, held the first Focus Group meeting at its offices in Archanes, on Friday 5 August 2022.
At the meeting, to which representatives of the sector and tourism businesses were invited aimed to exchange experiences and knowledge on the current status, the needs of tourism SMEs in each country regarding their level of innovation and to contribute to the improvement of the design of new and innovative solutions for the promotion of smart ICT tools, by providing relevant feedback from end users.
The working group is consisted of local stakeholders, tourism operators, consulting agencies, tourism marketing consultants, and local development experts, that reflect the CLLD – Community Led Local Development concept of bottom – up for local tourism development. The main objective of the working focus group is through discussion – consultation and presentation of knowledge and experiences, to come up with a report of proposals to the European Commission for micro – financing actions through the European COSME Programme concerning smart and sustainable tourism models.
During the session there was also presented the open call where interested SMEs may submit a funding proposal for their participation in the RESETTING Project, with a deadline on 1st September 2022 at 17:00 p. m. The application form is available at the following link. The selected SMEs will receive a voucher worth between €7,000 and €9,000 to implement their respective action plan.
